Circa 1918 Emerson type 24666 12" oscillating desk fan. Emerson's 24 series of desk fan has become known for its transition period for design. This example has the super cool oversized motor and smaller size base with 6 wing blade and steel cage. It has been cleaned to display its original shiny black finish on the motor and base, and brass components have aged nicely. The speed control numbering on the base still retains it original gold numbering. There are some places around the edge of the base that have been brushed touched and the cage and struts have been painted. As with most of these models the paint didn't adhere well to the adjustable collar. Fan runs and oscillates very nicely and is perfect for daily use.
