Circa 1917 Professionally Restored 12" 6 Blade Westinghouse Oscillating Electric Desk Fan Rare 40 Cycles. This design became Westinghouse's Staple Fan Design For Many Years To Come. An Iconic design of Westinghouse, this example has been beautifully restored to like new condition. All metal components were finished using a baked on rich black coating. Fan has been fully serviced internally at time of restoration. All new head wire and power cord has been attached. Brass has been professionally polished and clear coated. Iconic "W" badge is proudly displayed on the front of the guard. This is a rare 40 cycle example, this would have been used on an electrical circuit before it was standardized to 60 cycles. We have tested this using a cycle generator at the specified 40 cycles and it runs absolutely perfectly. On 60 cycles it runs just slightly slower that you might expect but very nice and smooth operating fan. Fan runs and operates perfectly.
