Presenting from the Prairie House Collection belonging to a dedicated fan enthusiast and collector, comes this Circa 1914 12" Peerless Tab Base Front Oscillator features desirable tab foot, brass cage, and brass blade. Peerless front oscillators are highly sought after for their unique front-mounted oscillator mechanism and unique design. This example has an older restoration. The brass cage and blade appear to have been polished at the same time as the restoration and have begun to develop a patina that matches the finish nicely. The head wire shows some fraying and may be original, and the power cord is in good condition. The cage has a few repairs, as shown in the photos. The fan operates on two distinct speeds as designed and oscillates smoothly. There is slight wobble in the neck from wear over time, along with very faint bearing wear. A small amount of gear chatter is present during oscillation, but the oscillator functions properly and smoothly.
