Circa 1912 12" Emerson type 16646 lever oscillating desk fan.   Restored example of Emerson’s final 12" 4 blade lever oscillator design. The 16646 has become very desirable because it features Emerson’s early lever oscillating technology, step base, and cast hub blade.  Lever oscillators are not known for their flawlessly smooth operation due to the many wear points, this example displays slight hesitation in its oscillation from over 100 years of use.  Fan was restored by the collector we acquired it from.  All wiring was upgraded at time of restoration for safe operation. Excellent example!!
