Circa 1911 16" Dayton Tab Base "Toilet Bowl" Oscillator. Very desirable and rarely available model by Diehl features what collectors have nicknamed "Toilet Bowl" Oscillator box. Overall this fan is a beast!!! The frame is all cast iron and built like a military tank. Massive 16" 6 wing blade has a very solid and robust cast brass hub. Original finish is in great condition, it does display some signs of use from the past 115 years. Blade displays nicely although it has some balance issues on startup but smooths out once reaching its operting speeds. We have fully serviced the fan for operation. We have installed new headwire and power cord using our American Manufactured OTR+W cloth covered wire. Fan operates on 3 distinct speeds as designed when supplied with 110V AC. The coupling on the back ring of the brass guard has been replaced. Center cage ring has a split in the coupling but is still in place. Oscillation is smooth and can be turned off or on but the knob at the front of the box. Rare opportunity to own this desirable example.
