Circa 1911 12" Western Electric Hawthorn "Tank" Desk Fan All Original
All original circa 1911 12" Western Electric Hawthorn "Tank" table fan. Manufactured by the Westinghouse Electric Co. and sold to western electric who supplied them to the market under their brand name. This beautiful all original example was just acquired from a private collection. The original finish is in excellent condition displaying minimal wear and chipping. The bottom edge of the base appears to have had some minimal touch up to its finish, this is the way we acquired it from the collector. Very desirable for many reasons, the unique cage badge is one of those highly sought after features. The fan is ready for another 100 plus years of service. Both oil cups have been cleaned of all old, hardened oil, new oil and wicks were installed for good lubrication of mechanical parts. Rare addition for any fan collection!!
