Circa 1911 12" Western Electric Hawthorn "Tank" Desk Fan All Original

All original circa 1911 12" western electric hawthorn "tank" table fan. Manufactured by the Westinghouse electric co. And sold to western electric who supplied them to the market under their brand name. This beautiful all original example was just acquired from a private collection. One of the unique characteristic of this fan is the original copper colored blade, this color is consistent throughout the blade and doesn't appear to be from any alternation since new.  Note the base still retains the letters off on the switch lever’s location.  The original green cloth covered head wire is still intact appearing in good condition for its age.  The original finish is in excellent condition displaying minimal chipping around the end of the base.  This example is very desirable for many reasons, the unique cage badge is one of those highly sought after features. The fan is ready for another 100 plus years of service.  Both oil cups have been cleaned of all old, hardened oil, new oil and wicks were installed for good lubrication of mechanical parts.  Rare addition for any fan collection!!
