Rare Circa 1911 12" Sprague Ball Motor DC Oscillating Desk Fan. Absolutely stunning!! This example was part of an amazing personal collection we have offered over the past 2 years. This Sprague design is very unique!! Utilizing their ball motor DC design, they attached an elongated gearbox making for a very sleek and sophisticated design. Brass windmill style blade was likely sourced from GE as it was used on their pancake models from years prior. Brass "Drop Ring" guard is another GE product with Sprague adding their beautiful logo. To our knowledge the finish on this fan is all original and displays wonderfully. A bridge rectifier has been added inside the base for easy "plug and play" use. Fan is designed for use on 230 volts; a step-up transformer will be required. Very Rare model, ideal for the serious collector.
