Circa 1911 General Electric “Big Motor Yoke” (BMY) fan with convertible neck for wall mounting. Introduced with GE’s 1909 model year offerings, the “Big Motor Yoke” design marked a significant evolution in their residential desk fans. The cast iron components have been nicely refinished, and the patina on the brass has been well preserved. The oilers have been serviced with new felt wicking and fresh 20W oil. A new head wire and power cord have been installed, and the rubber grommets in the motor and base have been replaced. The fan operates on three distinct speeds, runs smoothly, and is perfect for daily use. It can be used as either a desk fan or a wall-mounted fan.
