From the "Museum Collection of Steve Cunningham" we are pleased to present this Paul Graves Professionally Restored 12" Emerson Type 12666 Desk Fan.  Both Steve Cunningham and Paul Graves have been very instrumental in the growth of the antique fan collecting community.  This example has been prominently on display in the AFCA Fan Museum (Museum ID #119) since August 1997.  Paul Graves is a master fan restorer/mechanic, and this is an excellent example of his artistry.  Rich black enamel finish is accentuated with highly polished and lacquered brass components.  Fan operates as perfectly as it looks.  Early Emerson lever technology had many pivot points that over time wear which results in hesitation or delay in the oscillation sweep.  This example appears to contain all its original lever components.  Amazing example of early oscillating design combined with historical collector ownership and restoration by an icon within the hobby.  Once in a lifetime opportunity acquisition.
