Circa 1910 all original Emerson type 11646 12" desk fan. This fan was handpicked from the personal collection of the late bill hoehn, this fan was found carefully stashed away in his large collection of electric fans (most from manufactures in St. Louis). Examples that I hand picked from this collection were in "as found" condition, using experience I only acquired examples that were well preserved under the dust and dirt. Having been manufactured in St. Louis and also acquired in the same town, this fan never left home until it traveled to our warehouse. Many of the examples contained in this collection were acquired in the "early days" of collecting and brought home to reside as found. We brought this example into the shop and have cleaned and serviced it for another 100 years. Showing minimal chipping, the original finish is in exceptional condition!! The speed settings are still clearly visible above the switch lever which is a rare find. Fan motor is rated for 104 volts and when applied the fan operates on 2 distinct speeds. We have cleaned the fan and serviced it mechanically and replaced the power cord and head wire with our superior otr+w period correct cloth cord. This is an excellent example for the refined collector or homeowner looking for a daily use fan with style and history.
