First Year Circa 1908 GE "BMY" Desk Fan. This Was General Electrics First Non Pancake Motor AC Desk Fan. With The Introduction Of This New Design GE Would Change Their Fan Offerings To More Modern Technology. This Model Features The Centrifugal Start Switches, This Method Of Engaging And Disengaging The Start Winding Would Quickly Be Abandoned Because Of This Switches Inconsistences. This Is A Wonderful Survivor From That Short Period Of Manufacturing. Fans From This Period Are Known To Have Drop Ring Guards, This Is The Second Example Of This Exact Model I Have Owned Over The Years Having A Parallel Ring Guard. The Guard Appears As Though It Has Been On This Fan Since New. A Very Nice Rare Example That Is Becoming Very Difficult To Acquire.
