Circa 1906 16" Wesco Ornate Base Desk Fan Type 5320
Very Rare Wesco Supply Co. Badged Emerson Type 5320. A Very Large And Impressive Air Mover. This Fan Features A Heavy Cast Iron Ornate "Pie Crust" Base. The Base Appears To Have Been Painted At Some Point In The Past. Motor And Yoke Have Beautiful Original Finish That We Cleaned And Waxed, Brass And Guard Are Original To The Fan, The Collector We Obtained The Fan From Started Polishing The Guard And Just Cleaned The Blade. This Model Has The Desirable Centrifugal Starting Switch. If Your Unfamiliar With This Style Switch, You Will Hear A Clicking Sound On Startup And Slowdown (This Is Normal). We Installed A New Headwire And Power Cord For Safe Operation. Fan Is Rated For 104 Volts, We Have Tested It Here In The Shop On 104 Volts. The Choke Coil Is Installed But Doesn't Seem To Be Dropping The Speed. There Is An Old Repair To The Switch. It Would Be An Easy Coil To Have Rewound. Rare Opportunity To Own A Very Hard To Find Fan.
