Circa 1902 Diehl 56" Ornate "Hatbox" DC Ceiling Fan

Stunning Circa 1902 56" Diehl 4 blade "Hatbox" direct current ceiling fan.  This is another gorgeous example from the Northeast Collection.  Attached is a photo of myself and the collector I acquired it from.  This gorgeous fan hung in the home of the collector until it was time for this treasure to be passed on for another collector to enjoy.   The motor housing, blades, and blade irons are original.  The original ornate filigree on this housing is simply beautiful. It appears that the previous owner may have refreshed the side band to match the rich original patina that developed on the cast iron over time.  One of the blades has been masterfully repaired over the last 120+ years.  The repair along with the refinish looks beautiful and adds to its charm and history.  We cleaned, waxed, and fully serviced fan.  It operates on 110V DC; however, a bridge rectifier has been installed for operation on AC.  For operation and installation, the fan will be supplied with our antique ceiling fan hanger kit as well as a wall-mounted motor controller for convenient speed selection. An absolutely beautiful fan that is sure to make a statement in any setting.
