Refinished 1901 GE trunnion mount 12" pancake fan. We acquired this fan from a long-time fan collector. It was restored prior to us acquiring it and it displays very nicely. The red re-finish pairs well with the golden brass, which has naturally patinaed over the years. The red is reminiscent of what was an optional offering in 1901. The brass appears to be original to the fan and is free of breaks. The 1901 model year is among the most desirable pancake, that displays a squattier ribbed base and thin “pancake” motor housing that collectors love. It runs on two speeds as designed, with an exceptionally soothing slow speed. It has been cleaned, new wick and oil added in the oiler, and a new power cord installed. There are a couple of marks on the brass band as shown in the photos.
