Circa 1894 Edison Sixth HP Slow Motor Fan. Just An Amazing Piece Of Electric And Edison History. When Edison Introduced The Slow Motor It Was Quickly The King Of The Electric Motors. This Motor Was Highly Efficient. At Low Speeds This Efficiency Resulted In A Savings Of Wear On The Commutator, Bearings, And Brushes. The Brushes When Once Set Required No Further Adjustments. The Bearings Were Removable, Brass Sleeves Adjusted To Perfectly Aligned And Can Be Readily Slip Out And New Ones Substituted. This Particular Motor Was Paired With A Blade And Guard Making It The Slow Motor Fan Offering. To Our Knowledge All Is Original With Exception Of The Glass Oilers. The Oilers Were Made To Exact Specs Of Originals. A Truly Amazing Fan!!
