Description

Circa 1890's Bipolar Fan by W. & J. George Ltd.  This perfectly proportioned Bipolar fan appears all original and in amazing condition.  Fan operates flawlessly on 120v DC.  The wonderfully patinaed power block on top of the fan is stamped RD NO 35I429 and has an ivory colored logo/badge on it W. & J. George Ltd. "NIVOC" REGB Birmingham  2542.  Cast brass bearing/brush holder is stamped RD. NO. 352095.  Motors frame is very solid cast iron with both legs embossed MAX VOLTS 120.  Large single pole resides under the rotor that is capped off with brass disc's.  Mounted on a solid wood base of the same species as the top plate.  Original 6 wing blade has wonderful patina and runs smooth.  Wiring all appears original as well.
