In 1938 Sunbeam Introduced Ivar Jepsons Model 5 Mixmaster, it certainly appears that iconic kitchen appliance influenced the design of signals 1939 "Deluxe" Fan. Both the "Mixmaster" and "Deluxe" feature long flowing smooth art deco lines. Signal description of their "deluxe" model fan "this is the new deluxe 16-inch signal fan... A streamlined beauty as modern in styling and engineering as tomorrow. An enclosed oscillating unit with push-button control. 6 pole slow speed motor, greater air delivery, three speeds and wide-sweeping fan blades that operate with unusual quietness are features of this fan." This gorgeous example has been restored featuring a very durable bake on finish.  A very impressive fan when in use or sitting still.
