Original Circa 1912 Westinghouse Double Lever Oscillator. When Westinghouse used its tried and true solid cast iron "tank" motor as the base for an oscillating desk fan, the result was this spectacular design! The enginering that went into making a breeze move left to right and also allowing the user to direct that breeze in an up or down fixed position is amazing. We are pleased to offer such a wonderful all original finish "survivor". Original Japan finish on this fan is in amazing condition!! A known area of finish loss or chipping on this particular model is around the base, this example has virtually no chipping around its base. Fan runs as beautifully as it appears. Brass appears to have been polished at some point and displays nicely!! An interesting feature on this particular example is the spring cover on the headwire, it appears this was used as a cord keeper as well as support for the cord/wire.
