Rare circa 1918 Emerson type 24668 16" all original oscillating desk fan. Emerson's 24 series desk fans have become known as a transition design period for Emerson. This example features the highly desirable cast hub with 6 wing brass blade and brass guard. The oversized motor was engineered specifically to drive the powerful cast hub 6 wing blade. Maintaining its original allure, this fan showcases a stunning "shiny-like-new" original japan finish and brass components, all of which have been carefully cleaned while preserving the rich character earned over more than a century of use. The cast iron base shows some finish loss, contributing to the fan’s original antique appeal. One blade wing displays a slight crease in the patina; this has no effect on the fan’s operation....it runs amazing and very smooth!! The fan has been completely disassembled for cleaning and servicing and the head wire and power wire have both been upgraded using our otr+w cloth covered cord. Fan runs and oscillates incredibly well. This fan is perfect for daily use.
