12" Diehl Manufactured Ornate Base Tab Base GEC Magnet
This fan was manufactured in 1906 by the Diehl Company in the USA and sold to GEC an English company. GEC rebadged the fan with their incredibly cool "Magnet" logo and designed a wonderful brass guard that is a perfect match to this base and motor. An early example of a GEC fan such as this is very hard to find and this is an incredible example. The paint appears to be complete untouched and original, there are still some of the original pin stripes present which is always a plus. The blade and guard have a great 100 plus year patina. Upon close examination, the switch appears to be a newer version of the original. Just a very solid fan that is excellent for a serious collector.
