Circa Late 1920's-30's Emerson 4 Blade "Long Nose" Ceiling Fan Restored. An icon of the early 20th century, Emerson ceiling fans became a perminent fixture in many architectural icons of the early 1900's in many major cities across the country. Last year we acquired a 50 year collection of ceiling fans from possibly the largest private collection in the USA. This fan was among that collection and in need of a complete restoration. Stator has was removed from the cast iron motor housing, reinsulated and checked for any leakage. Cast Iron has been chemically blackened and lacquered to prevent oxidation. Rotor and shaft have been checked for excessive wear, cleaned, and freshly lubricated. Races and Bearing have been removed cleaned, inspected, and freshly lubricated. Original 3 speed switch assembly has been upgraded to a replica Off/On switch and suggest control being executed via a wall rheostat (provided with purchase). Orignal blades have been refinished in a redish/brown color in the manner of the original finish. Fan was restored to new condition for the intention of daily use. Ideal for a period home and rarely available in restored ready to use condition.
