Circa 1935 A.C. Gilbert Co. New Haven Connecticut Desk Set.  Featuring a heavy cast iron base adorned with a 5" chrome blade desk fan and original nickle plated fountain pen holders, this set is ideal for an executive office or personal collection decor.  Also included are 2 Sheaffer Fountain Pens to complete the components of this very unique set.  Power cord for the fan appears to have been updated since new for safe operation.   We have cleaned, serviced, and tested this fan.  Fan ran for 2/4 hour intervals, only noted minor odor of warmth.  Motor felt a normal temperature and not concerning.  This is a shaded pole motor and a mild warmth smell is very common with that style of motor from this period.  Excellent example and very difficult to find in this condition.
