Circa 1915 GE 3 Speed Coin Operated or Taxi Fan. This is a fully functioning 3 speed example making it a much more desirable model to the commonly seen 1 speed model. Beautifully restored several years ago, this example has been on prominent display in Don and Margaret's home since. As designed, the fan runs approximately 60 minutes on the deposit of a nickel. The bank door is a newer production piece as 99% of the original doors are missing. While in operation, the nose gears audibly could use a fresh servicing and the possible addition of a fiber washer as well. Slight front bearing wear is detected which could also contribute to the minimal rattle sound. Power cord will need to be replaced. A huge conversation piece in any setting, this fan is ready for a spot in your collection and will be the "go-to" display fan for friends and family.
