Circa 1912 8" Westinghouse "All Brass" Gun Metal Blued Finish Desk Fan. In 1912 Westinghouse Offered Its 8" Desk Fan In A Variety Of Finishes. This Fan Features An Amazing Well Preserved Gun Metal Blued Optional Finish. Some Collectors Prefer The Solid Polished Brass Appearance And Would Remove The Gun Metal Blue To Achieve That Finish. This Example Is A True Survivor Having Avoided The Buffer For 110 Years. When Found, This Fan Still Retained The Original Benjamin Screw In Socket Plug. We Upgraded The Power Cord With Our Superior OTR+W Wire And Retained The Original Plug. Brass Is Unpolished And Has A Wonderful Patina. This Fan Also Features The Wire Guard And Stencil Cut Badge (The Best Combination In My Opinion). Oil Cups Have Been Cleaned Of Old Oil And Wick, Fresh New Wicks And Oil Have Been Installed. Fan Operated Perfectly On 3 Distinct Speeds. Wonderful Daily Running Fan And Beautiful Decorative Object.
