Circa 1911 12"GE Kidney Oscillator Restored
Circa 1911 12" GE Kidney Oscillator Desk Fan. This "Industrial" rendition of GE's Kidney Oscillator was executed by a former fan collector/restorer. Due to health issues, he liquidated his collection a few years ago. When I acquired the collection, this was a fan that visually appealed to me and has been on my desk since. During the warmer months, this fan has been my daily runner at the office. The finish is "raw" steel with a baked linseed oil top coat. The contrast of raw steel and polished brass has a very industrial feel which can be complimentary to many modern styles and settings. Fan operates perfectly on 3 distinct speeds.
