Circa late 1890's-1900 Edison Iron-clad Battery Fan. Preserved in a private collection for the last 50 years, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own an amazing all original example of a very rare and desirable fan. The combination of rare, impeccable condition, and 125-130 years old doesn't happen! This Edison Iron-clad represents a relic of history which has been well loved and cared for. The prior collector acquired it from an antique dealer early in their collecting career and became their pride and joy loving to show and share with visitors. When original acquired, they cleaned and polished the brass leaving the cleaned and polished brass unsealed to age and patina. Finish and pinstripe details are 100% original and have only been cleaned and waxed (no paint touch-ups). Fan runs as wonderful as it looks on 4-6 volts DC.
