Circa 1911 1st Variant 12" Century Skeletal Oscillator.  From the personal collection of the late Bill Hoehn, this fan was found carefully stashed away in his large collection of electric fans (most from manufactures in St. Louis).  Examples that I hand picked from this collection were in "As Found" condition, using experience I only acquired examples that were well preserved under the dust and dirt.  This early example of Century Electrics S3 12" "Skeletal" Oscillator was found covered in dirt and dust which preserved this amazing original finish.  We have cleaned and serviced this fan completely, it runs and oscillates on 5 speeds wonderfully.  The oscillator arm on this model features a "Fork" with internal teeth which swivel from the shoulder screw on the oscillator wheel grabbing teeth enclosed on the swivel gear located directly under the motor.  This is an amazing piece of mechanical design and followed their "collector famous" over engineered S4 model.  A wonderful survivor from a well known early fan collector collection.

Video below shows the oscillators design but is of another example we sold a few years ago.
