Professionally Restored 1910 Emerson Type 11666. This fan is absolutely stunning!! All the cast iron pieces have been professionally painted and gold lettering applied to the motor highlighting the lettering on the motor as was done originally on these fans. The motor has been professionally rewound. The brass has been polished and lacquered and has start to develop a little patina as this restoration was done a few years ago. If you desire the mirror brass, the small amount of patina is easy to clean. All wiring is new. If you are unfimilar with this fan, this was at the time Emerson used an internal start mechanism. The start mechanism consist of two brass sleeves that ride on a brass collar. When the fan reaches a certain speed, these switches disengage and all running is now on the primary winding. This is the noise you hear on startup and shut off. Excellent example of a rare fan.
