Extraordinary FWEW Fan
5/5
Buying a fan from an on-oine auction house is often a gamble. Besides, few auctioneers know how to pack and ship a fan. I have had my share of fans packed by novices damaged in shipping. When I purchased this fan from AntiqueFanParts.com I knew exactly what I was buying, that it would arrive in good condition and that I could get support if I needed any. I even asked for and got the fan's history.
This fan is original and unrestored, exactly as shown. It's a fascinating delight. Its unusual design makes it look, run and sound differently than others its size. It's a wonder. Why did Mr. James Wood, chief electrician at the Fort Wayne Electric Works around 100 years ago, design it with the rotor outside of the stator? I have a theory, what's yours?
