Very Desirable Original Emerson PI241 Trunnion Mount.  This was Emersons first desk fan to follow the Tripod Models.  With all the desirable characteristics of early Emerson fans that we all love so much.  This fan operates in the same manner as a Tripod, you slide the switch to the far right to engage the start winding and once up to speed, slide it back to run.  After this model, Emerson went to the centrifugal start switches which proved to be a bit safer on the start windings and eliminated operator error.  This fan has nice original paint compared to most of these models that are found.  The front of the motor has a weird area of paint loss...if they could only talk.  It is a great example for an early Emerson Collection and sure to become much more desirable as the tripod models have become very scarce.
