Haynes Whirlwind Airplane Fan.  This design really reminds me of the spring mounted microphones of the 1920's.  The guard flows in with the ring for hanging and all the proportions really compliment each other.  This fan appears to be in original condition, some of the chrome shows signs of age but overall its in great condition.  The fuselage has some minor dents as shown in the photos.  The motor is a powerful General Electric industrial workhorse and really pushes the air.  The cage still retains the original badge which is in great condition.
