1891 Edison Slow Motor Fan.  Antique Fan Parts is privileged to offer such an amazing historical fan.  In 1891 Edison offered the Slow Motor as a utility motor that when paired with their blade and guard could be used as a fan.  This is an original motor paired with original blade and guard as it was offered on day one.  This example appears to have sat unused on a shelf since 1891.  This was purchased from a major Edison Collector some years ago.  He had owned the fan for most of his life and only acquired the best Edison pieces for his collection.  I'm not sure there is a nicer example of this rare fan in the world.  This is an absolute once in a lifetime offering.  When the photo was taken, the front and rear oilers were wrapped up in a napkin and didn't get installed.  The oilers are present and included with the sale of the fan.
